something’s missing
I persist in being consistently thrilled by the existence — the evolution — of letters. Of sounds. Of words.
Linguists will tell us how wondrously we convey so much with so little. In the first portion of existence, we could only cry or giggle to convey our feelings. But now we use words: defined outlines for every unit of expression.
We processed our wordsmithing for technology. Our internet upbringings drove us to express life’s simplicities — “I love this” or “I dislike this” or even “this gives me the creeps” — with pictures. Little buttons to tell people whole words without needing to write something.
We evolved, getting computers to think for us. Expressive depth frequently swopped for brute efficiency, imperfect sincerity for cloned perfection. Yet, I persist in being delighted by how we could be resourceful enough to get to this point. How did simple sounds, simple words, become this?
You might be wondering if I’m going to get to the point.
…I did. (You might see it now, since I’ve told you I did.)
I’ve left something huge out of this blog. If you figure it out, consider this your cue to try it yourself with this guiding rule in mind: write 100 to 200 words while sticking to one theme or topic.
I wish you luck!
Note: No bots were involved in writing this blog, even though I sort of complimented them.

Hint, if you’re still stumped concerning the missing element: I’ve told you before.
